do you ever?

do you ever feel like what you're doing isn't working
do you ever feel?
do you ever stop feeling and just turn off and rest

do you ever forget to step and and look at your big picture
do you ever forget?
do you ever remember step away from the moment for a moment

do you ever think of trying on a new perspective in life
do you ever think?
do you ever think from outside your own minds eye

do you ever pledge to make a change for the better
do you ever pledge?
do you ever pledge to stay the same forever and ever

lets reflect
lets evolve
lets embark on the idea of a new way of being

do you ever wonder what harm self reflection could cause
do you ever wonder?
do you ever wonder what tomorrow could look like

eastern magic

eastern magic
wicked little spell of heart and sleeve
tasting, sleeping the wanting lip ache
the image, the thought wished to believe
malignant hearts tumor a doctor's to take

sleepless night never so filled with joy
the night after the warm feels so cold
raiders of insides, a mingled word ploy
swelling, the masses, knots are all told

sunshine rays replaced with cloudy rain
brown eyes dark as underground waterways
a paper heart shape here simple and plain
the sprinkles of springtime focus on days

deep water currents stir up my emotion
remembrance of well framed collections
the rain to water traps collect my devotion
scribbled note to you, full of corrections

a consecutive emotionless reposed advance
this concurrent confliction of each's need
the wind in water corrodes the last chance
the hearts on your sleeve is easy to bleed

desiring completion and collapsing want
tent poles released from weight from above
circus stars past, returned us to haunt
a fear of heights, we refer to as love

pushing skyward against the weight of you
enchanted, undaunted but fearfully obtuse
distraction from numbness, the thing you do
denial, devotion some thing are of no use

tidal blood flows and aches for a spark
nutrition removal, from daily ingestion
time to climb masts to gaze at the dark
when are you ready, is the dark's question

feminized feeding to gills in my heart
echoing sediments to the bottoms they go
the nutrient the mouthful all my start
the wind comes, the sails, moving me slow

forgetful light sleepers together a hole
wrapped in the comfort, forget the lust
warming, consoling evolving their soul
forgetful nights magic gone in the gust

leaking bull

leaking bull
A broad faced bull looked across the dark court yard
Wondering about his little cat out in the rain season
There was no table in sight and rain fell like waves
Crashing on cold statues and palm trees all the same
Turning he forgot this notion and looked to his feet
An inward race was on and he couldn’t keep pace
His mind was a spiral plunging downward slowly
It wasn’t the speed but the continual pace it kept
Like an ever stirring pot of water void of any drive
Pictures of stairs rising and falling in every direction
Depth was an illusion he would tell himself lightly
Half heartedly muttering while deep in contemplation
Whims he thought, purely whims of a lonely old soul
Lifted eyes scanned the courtyard for his wet partner
Picturing her curled up under some dripping overhang
Surly soaked to the bone and thinking of his warmth
The shelter they had, he thought, would draw her back
Forget the mice in the fields and the shadows that pass
Thinking of the warm glow of a hot day growing old
The passing of the light into the early dark warmth
Listening to a million collisions on a thousand leaves
Winds bullying nature of bending things to its will
Grinning he laid in his stall and drew a deep breath
So this is the end he thought with a wind whispering
A longing and tiredness swept over him without sound
The passing of the day’s events left him totally ruined
Having had his gorings and victories left him undone
He was lighter then ever, slowly slipping up and out
Out of body and mind and up against the rain’s will
A forgotten fulfillment of his last wish was laid to rest
Against the watery grain he saw the cat returning home
Shaking itself off and looking to him without reaction
Remorselessly she licked at his leaking wounds quietly
Turning upward he continued, glad for her last return.

the maiden voyage

The Maiden Voyage

Creative features of the beauty of pain
Gift of grief gladly gone by the wayside
Grieving hurtfulness so ugly yet vane
Cascading ships wander along and glide
The bubbling streams of conscience flow
Boat side manner wasted on wandering
Blind explorers glad to be, nowhere to go
Stained silk hung high after laundering
My wandering eyes that are finally fixed
Wavering voices sing songs of high praise
Collaboration of joy and pain deeply mixed
Feeding on emotions getting by for days
Voyages in the vastness of a hoping heart
Gaping holes in logic and reason grinning
Despair dissipates steadily from the start
Smiles full of doubtful waterfall’s beginning
Shining teeth with growing gaps grind
Currents pull through the missing space
Twisted bodies of water glassy and wind
Lingering moments dictate life’s cruel pace
It’s driving you to the void of discontent
The winter of a steely cold liquid field
Pasts fade away leaving spirits bent
Horizon’s healing is a soul’s high yield
The forgettable misfortune lingering on
The wind and sun touch your bowed back
Warmth of every day ordinary not yet gone
sun sprouts beginning the fade from black.

winter winds

Winter Winds

Crystal waters so clear and blue
Turn to white caps with gusts
Growing swells from the same
Placid surface churns together
Whispers of wind compel it
Sudden strokes raise the stride
The danger lurks in beauty
Teal turns to rippled madness
Liquid fabric folds to behold
Building momentum collects
Unleashed power from calm
Tsunami coasts breath deep
Sighing in relief and release
Age old ocean known before
Perfect patterns relapse readily
Tragic beauty laced with malice
Strokes of a lifting blue brush
Whistling winds agitate aquatics
Breaking of the storm warns
Weight of oceans wrath past
White caps pass flat as glass
Beautiful blue to teal resume
As storm clouds fail to loom
Gladly gone, good bye grief.

dream boat

Like a dream

The perfect petals of my dear golden flower
The wonderful feelings you allow me to feel
Reeling mazes with a surefire path to gold
The endless awe I feel looking into your eyes
I shrink into insignificants and grow all at once
Pulses of passion penetrate me as you pass
Unknowing secrets in your quiet breathing
The warming feeling of comfortable lovers
Like a wind blowing leaves from fall trees
You cause my love to spread like open arms
Your magic garden pulls my senses endlessly
Like a healed blind man boggled by new vision
Love radiates forgotten color from your silhouette
The kindness of your healing words sooths me
Like cool medicine on a badly burned soul
Your understanding of me is hard to understand
Sweetness like a long forgotten flower’s smell
Special in the way you make me feel so special
My perfect creature I covet for myself alone
Your spirit sustains me and nurtures me totally
You own me and are the royalty of my heart
I would pledge my allegiance to the flag of you
My lover, my princess, my confidante, my everything…..

tainted purity

Tainted Purity

Silken stream water from age old ice
sediment stories unfolded and retold
Rippling glimpses into past portals
Nourishing translucence of endless tale
Slightly tainted by its twisted travels
So changed from its skyward ways
Recycled and reborn in the same form
A released rebirth through untold cold
Following its path through high and low
Fate facilitates a slow return homeward
seasonal migration at the will of the sun
The mass pilgrimage to the lowest level
From our greatest need to wasted swales
Winding away where water does sway
Don’t dip and drink from tainted seas
Salty lips kiss, change and feel poisoned
Building blocks become teasing haunts
I wave goodbye to a beautiful friend
Still lovely lotion but now I’m sea sick
The sweet dream of the skies new return
A skyward quenching comes full cycle
Forgive the river for becoming the ocean
I’m heading upstream to find you pure
Untainted the way I remember you
Kneeling to your mouth I sip and sigh
This is why I remember loving you.

frozen statue

Frozen Statue

A collection of dust lies at your feet
Cruelty is your broom and your cheat
No wind stirs it but it hangs in the air
Knotted thoughts seep out your hair
Plastic people’s smiles hide your soul
At a life long cost you pay your dole
Creative conjunctions can collapse
Repeated reasons returns in relapse
Riddles echo around porcelain crowns
Unlit passion useless like ghost towns
Innocent animals look up to ponder you
Wasted purity the wind blows through
You’re the statue of blue smoky glass
Overgrown in a shady field of grass
Beautiful music trapped deep inside
On a slippery slope you chose to slide
Wandering reasoning neglected god
Hiding under silk blankets on the nod
Sunlight never melting ice cold hearts
Dark muse different from how it starts
A wind never coming to clear the mist
Frozen hand forever in a clenched fist
Hazy nights looking inside your core
The sea sick sailor dreaming of shore
Busy forgetting trying not to remember
The shadow of a statue dark as December
The Escape of doves from rusty cages
In your perfect prison trapped for ages
A Smokey devil grasps your cold hand
Feet slowly covered by the rising sand
Letting go is the easiest path to choose
A beautiful statue with nothing to lose
Heavy hand always leaving its mark
Alone on the hill in the shadowy park

new world order

New world order

black machines bursting and blazing
Freight train feet flailing and falling
gyroscope balance beams keep up
pounding sounds of timed explosions
the new face of keeping the peace

rushing radio waves cast nul and void
coast town in waiting for a lull to sigh
as a crow flies your stuck in the middle
the ants on the road flee layers deep
a collection in retreat causing convulsion
walkways a mosaic of swarming society

not so far off gears grind and pistons pump
an unlit mass of tarnished black aggression
the symbol of iron fists and ice cold eyes
forgotten fortunes foundry forged fear
in the darkened void a slow shift begins
slamming steps change the present to past
the shadows close in and people call out
heads held lower then ever under

raging infernos explode everywhere
the mountain like machine moves through
the ground is gouged deeply and scarred
rising clouds of dust add to the dullness
a wavering haze forms around the mass
bright lights burst forward clearing the way
a house of cards lay broken under foot
the northern coast spared the days rage

as the smoke swells the shadow goes east
as the tides rise the mountain settles in deep
last glimpse then its gone from sight for now
new rules turn the gears of a new evovlution
a forever altered perception of possibility .

black machines bursting and blazing
Freight train feet flailing and falling
gyroscope balance beams keep up
pounding sounds of timed explosions
the new face of keeping the peace

awakening eyes find a maze below ground
sound so empty its a hollow vibration
surface seems like a distant past now
setting in the shuffling begins when calm comes
people huddle around the screeching radio
hoping for a voice like a hand to clutch to
finding faith forgets frivolous facets
like the passageway blocked so is hope
god was crushed and broken they whisper
the decades feeling of invulnerability a shred
torn flags of already forgotten nations
pledges of generations like broken tablets
stone with no strength like crumpled buildings
sad songs sing silently for the south

spared another for night they sigh
a twisted wish for the exploited south beaches
a half felt wish that it was the norths turn
the torture of survival
the waiting for the world you know to crumble
to all be in the same situation
a guilty northern dream that it all could end
never a mountain of steel to descend
for the removed suffering of a nation
I fissure opening in morality of bonds
A looming fear that never neglects you
Hanging over head like an gallows shadow
Punished in the wind that touches your neck
Dare to never celebrate but silently
Clenching your fist you whisper
You all whisper. pound the south
Exodus yourself, satisfy yourself
Dreaming of escape through others pain

black machines bursting and blazing
Freight train feet flailing and falling
gyroscope balance beams keep up
pounding sounds of timed explosions
the new face of keeping the peace

Never satisfied
Life is suppression
Logic dictates
Evolution is beginning
Laying in wait
Time means nothing and everything
Give me more

Burning with no end but all being consumed
Rations misplaced and fear resonates
Lost humanity tempered with the untouched
A proud tall city stands unscathed
Remembrance shown as though danger fails to loom
Digest you fate, so easily fools forget
Isnt momentary salvation enough
Must it last forever if only for you
Without failure the peace succumbs
The south begins to glow with new desperation
The momentary quiet of safety descends
Making way for the extreme of uncertainty
Like a gale forcing open a half closed door
Dying flames are reincarnated as infernos
With the return of shadow comes the gloom
You can not even pretend it does not exist
Vulnerability consumes you like the flame
South has been claimed by the sun
The north looks on quietly waiting

Busy streets with certain death looking around you
Medias false sense of safety swallows the masses
A collective calm beyond peace times
siblings claiming their rite of passage
The food chain lay broken by mechanical mountains
Salvaging the fertile southern shores
Feasting on the twisted remains
As though both a lion and vulture
Papers reading the south will never rise again
Sweet words some how
Welcome words

Fallen and muddy, fallen wonders hang
The north..surely the north will help
Where is The north?
They bump their glasses in homage
Hoping not for the south to be spared
For the south to satisfy the unquenchable
Gladly offered as a suitable sacrifice
For the mountains to take up roots
laying dormant once more
Surely mountains must come to rest
Clouded mountains of steaming gas and iron
Cylinders pumping valley filling voids
White hot fires burning low

black machines bursting and blazing
Freight train feet flailing and falling
the ant in its ear is its only controls
gyroscope balance beams keep up
pounding sounds of timed explosions
the new face of keeping the peace

war torn

war torn souls

Napalmed children in hidden caves

Forgotten causes as token reasons

Killing only for the sake of killing

Suicide pilots journals uncovered

Robotic feelings of soullessness

Forgotten foes after years pass

German veterans recalling forced orders

Pawns offered up as menial sacrifice

Meaningless life counted as numbers

Accountants of loss only seeing totals

Broken trunks of ancient family trees

Winter has come to take your leaves

Fruitless times of forgotten causes

Fighting for the sake of fightings

Age old enemies with familiar faces

No place for reason on fallen fields

Charred neighbors and broken homes

Empty arms grasp for fallen fathers

Mothers crying out for absent sons

Pure dreams down blood streams

No-one left to blame but yourself

Blinded by illusions of grandeur

Endless hunger for power

numb to loss of life

seasons of two hearts

throw flowers on our grave
even shedding a rare tear
hold it in and just be brave
frail stitches we still fear

six feet away from the past
long quiet looks we share
hope thin thread holds fast
lay in the grass, try to care

at rest beneath still rubble
relics of ruins left to find
silence trapped in a bubble
lets leave Atlantis behind

relieved it's been laid to rest
just happy to let the grass grow
my heart is still in my chest
from the ashes signs of life show

Death is never the end but a start
energy is not created or destroyed
the cycles are big, we're a bit part
just grains in the ruins we enjoyed

as we watched our shadows grow
in the setting sun of our prime
distorting images of us, head to toe
wave to our moment, our time

gained is what growing up from below
our union continues, adjusting its form
winter is fading, spring melts the snow
reborn apart, we weathered the storm
